Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American actor, producer, and fashion model. After gaining fame through his work in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. The actor has also been featured in more than 22 TV series such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order and others. Qualls has fought Hodgkin's lymphoma since the age of 14 old. Two years later, his cancer is in remission. The treatment started so early that it had a severe affect on the body and stunted his growth. After he started expressing his desire for financially secure, it was his goal because his experience with poverty had been a part of the course of his youth. In an interview, he mentioned that if I don't have an income that is stable or feels uncontrollable in the world I will feel miserable. The actor also thinks about his own youth to determine the ways he can tackle bullying. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. On and off screen, DJ would love to be a father. The director admits that they do not choose him for those roles. In the future, he'd like to get a kid so he could devote less time at work and more time with the child.
