Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic artist, performer and composer. He blends soul gospel jazz and R&B to create a unique mixture. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway, during the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, performing and singing at church. She attended Spellman College and began to master the R&B styles of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House was only released in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's 2009 inauguration.
