Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel superstar Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. When she was a little girl, Houston began performing professionally in the choir of her church. Houston sang the backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. In the following years, she was a backing vocals to Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and her mother. The year 1981 saw her begin working as a singer with New York's funk band Material. The band's high-quality vocal performance of this group that attracted interest of recording companies such as Arista. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album by the debut artist. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one smash. The album sold US 3,000,000 copies, and later went to 25,000,000 world-wide. The album brought her first of her 6 Grammy Awards. The Whitney 1987 release, with Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as hits, helped build upon the successes she'd had. However, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard sealed her spot among the top-selling musicians ever. The movie and her role as a character was not well received, but the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You charted for several months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold over 44 million singles and albums across the globe. The same year, she was married former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she has a single daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. In the same year, her drug abuse was documented, and she was able to use it regularly in 1996.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both an anchorwoman, reporter, and political correspondent.
