Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the President and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers, among other businesses. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated after her parents split in 1972. At 19 years old, she began working for the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Then she created her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. In the beginning, she was vice-president for the Lakers prior to taking over the position of president of Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five sisters inherited his Lakers control following the passing of Bussher father in 2013. Every sister was given an equal voice. In 2013, she took charge of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
